Ose, Bygland, Agder, Norway
Class:
Crystal Group/Cluster
Size Range:
Thumbnail (1-3cm)
Size:
2.8 × 1.3 × 1.2 cm
Description

Two smoky crystals of quartz, parallelly grown, of black colour and good lustre. A group of rhombohedral faces at the termination clearly dominant which is typical for this locality. Crystals are quite gemmy with remarkable multi-layered internal phantoms. This obscure Norwegian locality is not well-known yet and must be small because it has produced a limited quantity of specimens.

Collected by J.Sibtsen in 1975-77. Ex Jan Sibtsen #2174.
