Small cabinet (7-10 cm)

Description

This is for sure one of the most rare specimens I offer this week in the auction. It features two types of a jarosite crystals: a mass of golden coloured interpenetrated jarosite that form the matrix, and well-formed sharp isolated crystals that grew freely in cavities of dark oxides nodules.

This specimen is truly from the type locality for the species, the Jaroso Ravine, in contrast with many specimens offered to be as from “Jaroso Ravine” but they certainly are from the nearby “Arteal tunnel”.

Collected by Stan Leemans in the 1960’s. Ex Stan Leemans #363.
