Description

Uncommon specimen from the Vuonos mine is this rich specimen of pale brassy yellow pentlandite with net octahedral cleavage, and certainly non-magnetic. This is a key difference with pyrrhotite (highly magnetic). This rare sulphide pentlandite and white quartz are cementing prismatic crystals of deep green tremolite, variety chromium-rich.
