Description

Mass of interpenetrated crystals of black ilmenite, from the late-Proterozoic Allard Lake ilmenite deposit, the world's largest Fe–Ti oxide deposit. Ex Rik Dillen specimen, who analysed the batch while working in Sidmar. The compositions is (%): FeO 34.2, MnO 0.12, CaO 1.56, Al2O3 6.2, MgO 3.40, SiO2 10.1, Na2O 0.75, TiO2 30.1.
