Description

Good representative group of fossilized wood branch replaced by brown caramel rhombohedral calcite with the cavities partially filled by prismatic white natrolite crystals. This uncommon natrolite-calcite fossilization is a product of a volcanic eruption.

Found in 02/2012 at the Mount Elgon (a remote locality in Uganda) by the Dutch collector Bert Biemold. Please watch attached Video.
