Description

Transparent lustrous crystal celestine with an brown core on a layer of transparent scalenohedral calcite. A representative specimen, from the stock of local collector Rolf Champignon, from Göttingen, who visited the quarry dozens of times between 1970’s and 1990’s.

These specimens could be mistaken with those classics of Rüdersdorf (Brandenburg).

With a handwritten label of Wolfgang Heller.
