Description

Dozens of black lustrous cubic crystals of perovskite to 3 mm from California, richly covering the surface of the matrix, also at the rear side of the matrix. Some crystals show nice brown colour and high transparency. According to the associated labels it was found near found near the California State Gem Mine, likely the Chlorite Schist Knob occurrence.

Acquired in 1976 to Marion Godshaw (1915-1989). Ex. René Virlet specimen.
