Description

Group of grey, well defined elongated pseudo-octahedral crystals of acanthite. This specimen is a classic example of a paramorph (acanthite after argentite), where the original isometric symmetry of the argentite is morphologically inherited by the acanthite, that is monoclinic. The specimen is crystallized all around and completely free of damage. Mounted on a socle.
