2.9 × 1.3 × 0.9 cm
Description

A floater group of tabular, transparent crystals of glauberite with very good lustre, classical striations and prismatic developments.

I collected it back in 2004 at the Consuelo Mine, the mine that produced long ago the World’s Best glauberite crystals during the short period, when it was exploited at the end of the XIX Century from 1880 to 1889.

These crystals are not primary but diagenetic, they are found lining geodes, without halite (such as those in Villarubia de Santiago, the type locality), so these are very stable and less sensitive to air moisture.
