Description

Sharp lustrous elongated rhombohedra of calcite, variety cobaltoan, with a superb intense fuchsia colour at the terminations and uncommon light orange bases. Crystal development is very good and they are extremely bright and translucent. It is associated to grey carrollite crystals with the surface pseudomorphosed to dark grey bornite.

Collected at the Kambove Mine by René Virlet, a Belgian colonist in Congo who travel back definitively to Belgium in 1968.
