Description

Sharp lustrous rhombohedral crystals of calcite, variety cobaltoan, with a superb intense fuchsia colour. Crystal development is very good and they are extremely bright and translucent. It is associated to grey carrollite crystals with the surface pseudomorphosed to dark grey bornite. The piece is almost a floater and it can be displayed all around.

Collected at the Kambove Mine by René Virlet, a Belgian colonist in Congo who travel back definitively to Belgium in 1968.
