Description

Aggregate of well-defined octahedral crystals of cuprite, with the edges modified by the rhombic dodecahedron, and completely replaced by malachite. From the classic locality of Chessy-les-Mines, the type locality of azurite, these highly-sought pseudomorphs are getting scarce in the market, and are only available from recycled collections.

Ex. George Vanacker, acquired from Martíal Borzee in 1978.
