Description

An impressive dark brown to black doubly-ended and perfectly terminated crystal of cassiterite with intense lustre and net definition of edges and faces. It is a floater, in very good condition and with a contact point to the matrix and just a minor erosion. A twinning plane is also evident and the piece is of good size for the locality.

It was in the collection of J.Detaille, a Belgian colonist to Rwanda.
