Description

This is rarely available specimen of calcite from this quarry in Landelies (Belgium), cause they are kept by local collectors. It is twinned that results of a rotation of 180° on the axis [00.1]. The contact plane is one of the faces of the prism {10.0}. This penetration twin is evidenced in this piece by the association of three crystals, that are ended by three flattened rhombohedral faces.
