Description

Black flattened crystal of wolframite partially surrounded by cream-coloured oxides and minor quartz, that was included a sampling paper bag of “J. Nieberding & Fils”.

The company “Jules Nieberding & Fils” operated with this name and address after the Second World War, at the Asiadonk (Port of Antwerp), loading, sampling and analysing mineral ores passing through the port. Found in the late 1940’s. Ex Gabriel Fauvart collection. Detailed information of this locality can be found at Prigogine, A. (1956) & Varlamoff, N. (1958).
