Description

Sharp pseudo-octahedral crystal of scheelite that has been completely replaced by black porous microcrystalline ferberite and white quartz. It is a floater, quite uncommon specimen because it is also free of damages. The main tetragonal dipyramid is {101}, with the edges modified by the {112} dipyramid.

It was collected in 1969 by Jacques Deblandre at the Bugarama pegmatite (Rwanda). This was one the best pieces he had in his collection. A superb reinite pseudomorph!.
