This is a really hard to obtain specimen of silver from the Kipushi mine. The mineralization, composed mainly by massive bluish-black bornite and golden chalcopyrite, was roughly brecciated and the cracks were filled by leaves of native silver. One of these cracks near the surface is specially rich in lustrous patches of grey native silver.

Specimen from the collection of Eudore Toussaint, a Belgian Chemical Engineer in the D.R.Congo from 1948 to 1971.

It comes with the original old wood socle from the collection.
