Description

This is a showy and hard to find representative old-time piece. A Super Classic specimen from Hohentwiel, the Type Locality for natrolite. It features orange and white radial aggregates of fibrous crystals covering the phonolite rock. Rare in this shape, with a very rich surface covered by terminated crystals. Most specimens were massive, cut and polished, and few pieces like this are available. No damages!.

Good type locality specimen from material that is scarce in the market nowadays and from a site that is now a protected area.

Acquired in 1972. Ex. René Virlet specimen.
