Description

Sharp pinkish axinite-(Fe) crystals on matrix with good lustre and transparency, from Bourg d'Oisans, the region of the type locality. It is associated to snow-white hairy crystals of amphibole, variety byssolite. A Superb European Classic specimen where crystals are coming aesthetically off a thin flat matrix.

It comes with a previous label, that reads that it was acquired in December 20th/1978. Ex. René Virlet specimen.
