Description

Raspberry red crystal of beryl (variety red beryl) on a white rhyolite matrix. It is doubly-ended, with good lustre and of hexagonal section. In one of the sides it is intersected by a needle like crystal of an unidentified mineral. Interestingly is quite tabular, what is very uncommon in the locality. It is very well exposed and no, it is not glued on the matrix. I removed part of the matrix that covered partially the crystal.

Ex. Gerard Vogel collection.
