Description

Deep red lustrous rhombododecahedral crystal of almandine with good definition of stepped faces, imbedded in calcite. It is completely free of damages and displays perfectly 360°.

Collected before 1960 at the Kamiaba region, a very remote locality close to the border with Zambia. Uncommon locality in collections, that has never been abundant at all. Ex Robert Verdoodt.
