Description

Euhedral carrollite crystals coatd by black dull bornite, in a matrix of white calcite. This pseudomorph is a true perimorph, cause both minerals are still present. The old carrollites from Kamoto, found in the 1950’s and 1960’s were the world-best until the Kamoya finds in the 1990’s, so the specimen has to be understood in this context.

Collected at the locality by René Virlet, a Belgian colonist in Congo who travel back definitively to Belgium in 1968.
