Description

From my own collection this is an attractive floater specimen of gaylussite crystal replaced by calcite which are referred to as "barleycorn" in the classic literature. The crystal is complete and undamaged and it has been recently featured in the Dutch publication “GEA”, September 2018, Vol. 51 nr. 3. The initial label reads as to be from Thuringia, currently Saxony-Anhalt.
