Description

Shark tooth recovered in 1992 at Kallo, during construction works in the haven of Antwerp (Belgium), dated as Middle Pliocene age (locally known as Scaldisien). It is naturally eroded by marine transport, with the enamel at the rear side and tip partially removed. The sawed edges are preserved (Carcharodon Sp) and the root lobes are asymmetrical. Good size specimen for the locality.

Acquired in 2000, it is an Ex. Dr. Bob Janssens specimen.
