Description

Attractive matrix specimen with gaylussite crystals replaced by calcite which are referred to as "barleycorn" in the classic literature. The main crystal, well positioned in the centre, is quite aerial and measures 1.2 cm. Other two crystals at the rear are clearly twinned. All crystals are complete and undamaged.

Old specimen from the museum of Georges Vanacker* (BE) was acquired in 1960.

*Vanackerite (from Tsumeb) is named after him.
