Description

A Th and REE rich crystal of “uralorthite”, an old name for allanite (orthite) founded in the Ural mountains. It has a nice yellow coloured alteration coating with a waxy core. It comes with three original labels: the Ennio Contarini collection (#631), and two handwritten, one from Wilhelm Maucher (1879-1930), to whom Maucherite was named.
