Description

This is a really uncommon piece of rhodochrosite with tourmaline from Brazil. This specimen consists of a floater group of flattened rhombohedral rhodochrosite crystals of intense pinkish-red colour in association with greyish-blue tourmaline. Rhodochrosite from pegmatite localities are extremely rare, and rhodochrosite in association with tourmaline is extremely rare.

I’m told that these specimens were a single limited find at the pederneira mine at the early 1990’s. With a previous label from a known US dealer. Ex. A. Gelders, #078.
