Description

Aggregate of tabular baryte crystals that form a rose-shaped cluster. These “baryte roses” have formed in the Permian-aged Garber formation and have included grains of sand that give them the red colour.

This specimen is undamaged and was acquired in 1981 by Dr. Bob Janssens (collection specimen #612).
