Description

Dozens of sharp canary yellow crystals of soddyite with an intense resinous lustre and very good definition of crystal edges. The matrix is composed of subparallel lustrous yellow uranophane crystals and massive brown baryte and tan needles of what might be rutherfordine.

Uncommon specimen from the collection of Joseph Lhoest, a Belgian doctor who worked in DR of Congo for many years and it is well known for his articles about Congo in the Mineralogical Record.
