Description

Group of scalenohedral calcite crystals, some twinned, completely replaced by white dolomite. The structure forms hollow crystals, that are not broken, and are partially filled up with secondary rounded transparent calcite and coatings of iron hydroxides.

Dolomite is not rare at the Beez quarry, but according to Kevin Van Belle, the local collector who founded the specimen, this kind of pseudomorphs were founded just in a very small volume of rock at Beez, located in the fourth bank and during short period in 2009. Beautiful!.
