Prismatic crystals of aragonite, twinned cyclically on {110}, producing a pseudo-hexagonal aggregate. The lustre is good with a zone at the centre coloured purple. The group displays on a matrix of microcrystalline gypsum with a very uncommon orange colour that is also spotted with white, doubly-ended quartz crystals.
