Description

An old timer, super large, colourless petalite crystal with gemmy top, from paprook (Afghanistan). It is a floater specimen, with crystals faces all around or contacts with the matrix and a complete termination that is rich in crystals faces. It weights over 1/2 Kg, has nice etching patterns and is included by minor green tourmaline crystals. Only a small piece is missing at the side (last picture). These specimens are very very hard to find from this locality nowadays, especially in this big size.

Acquired in September/9th/1989 at the Brussels Mineral Show by Isidoor Venesoen.
