Description

Prismatic crystals of aragonite, twinned cyclically on {110}, producing a pseudo-hexagonal aggregate. The lustre is good with a zone at the centre coloured purple. The group displays very aerially on a matrix of grey marl and fibrous gypsum. Self-collected in 04/2011, it is free of damage. Mounted on a methacrylate socle.
