Description

Dull, dark metallic and well formed crystals of tetrahedrite (variety mercurian tetrahedrite), from the classic area of Brixlegg - Rattenberg (Tyrol, Austria). They are perched on snow white baryte and quartz. The crystals are undamaged. A good “Schwazite” from a classic European locality.

Acquired by Georges Vanacker* in 1961.

*Vanackerite (from Tsumeb) is named after him.
