Description

Aggregate of sylvite and halite from the Marie Louise Mine at Staffelfelden (France). The accompanying label (from the Mines de Potasse d’Alsace, S.A) reads that these chlorides are from the upper layers of the Marie Louise Mine, and it is composed of milky white sylvite, Fe-included orange sylvite and transparent halite. Minor yellow UV fluorescence. 

Exchanged in 1982, it is an Ex. Dr. Bob Janssens specimen.
