Description

A polished slab of an ovoid-shaped septarian nodule from the coal mines in Jerada (Morocco). The harden black argillaceous carbonate nodule has sigmoidal cracks filled up by white calcite and aragonite.

These are usually cut along the plane of the two longest directions, but this one is cut along the plane containing the longest and shortest directions.

Found in 2011, from my own collection.
