Description

A very interesting specimen of “jarosite” form this already closed mine. I collected myself this specimen on May 1999 when we visited the mine with the University of Cagliary. According to the geologist that guided the visit it was called “Cu-rich jarosite”, very important in the prospection process cause it was directly related to the gold enrichments in the limited oxidized area of the gossan. Latter studies of these specimens have shown that they are a mixture of green aubertite and whitish natrojarosite.

From my own collection.
