Large groups of mossy, needle-like, interpenetrated crystals of cuprite (variety chalcotrichite), with a deep red colour, covering fracture planes of a quartzite matrix. Classic old stuff from Bisbee.

Acquired in 1966 by PhD Geologist Bob Janssens. Specimen #1686.
