Description

Superb floater specimen of azurite from the type locality. It is formed by two rosettes (up to 2.9 mm in size) of very sharp azurite crystals with good lustre, very well defined faces and curved edges. The blue colour is intense with some lighter-blue superficial areas, with some minor erosions. Typical white sand fragments and malachite after cuprite octahedral crystals are included in the rosettes. Really much better on the hand, it displays all around. An aesthetic European classic, and from the Type Locality.

Ex. Gerard Vogel specimen, who acquired in 1971.
