Description

From my own collection, this is a rare to see ditetragonal crystal of scheelite that has been completely replaced by antoinite. Even if Rwanda was previously part of the old Belgian Congo, it is not usual to see this specimen in Belgian collections. Sometimes we can see crystals of scheelite replaced by both black porous ferberite and white anthoinite. Howeved this pseudomorphs just after anthoinite from the old Gifurwe mines in Rwanda are extremely rare to see, even in museums.

Ex. Iván Blanco collection.
