Description

Earthy yellow mass of daubréeite on a thin crust of brown matrix. This hydroxyhalide is very rare, and it comes from the well catalogued collection of Mr. Georges Vanacker*. The given locality is Cerro Tazna (Bolivia), so it could certainly be from the Constancia Mine, located at Cerro Tazna, the type locality for daubréeite. Specimen acquired in 05/1966

*Vanackerite (from Tsumeb) is named after him.
