Description

Black grey striated crystals of sartorite, to 4 mm in size, in a parallel growth with intense metallic lustre. Most of the crystals are still enclosed in the white sugary dolomite matrix. A geode at the centre of the specimen includes a very well developed black crystal of tennantite (variety “binnite”), with superb lustre. Some reddish orange realgar is also present.

Acquired in 1968, it is from the Bob Janssens type locality’s collection (#LT1776).
