A rich specimen of euhedral sphalerite crystals with evident multiple spinel-law twinning. The crystals have a great lustre and transparency, and have an attractive yellow-green colour, characteristic of this cleiophane variety. They are scattered on a transparent quartz rich matrix with calcite an tiny sulphides. Sphalerite from Kazakhstan is uncommon material, and this specimen has a good size, and the general condition is good, with just some chippings visible in the pictures.

Found in 1989, was acquired in 1992 by Bob Janssens (sample #1586).
