Description

Here is another super classic of the mineralogy, chalcostibite from Rhar el Anz (Morocco). These are typical prismatic striated crystals partially replaced by azurite and some malachite. The crystals are imbibed in a carbonate-rich rock with some well-developed crystals of white-yellowish calcite between the chalcostibite crystals. This is an old specimen that has been in the collection of Gerard Vogel the least 48 years (it was adquired in 1968), and in contrast with we can find nowadays in the market we highline here that at least 5 crystals are ended and without chippings.
