Floater, deep blue coloured single crystal of fluorite from Seilles, an already classic from Belgium. These pieces were found as floater crystals in a loose clay matrix, filling cracks in limestones. In perfect condition, has naturally etched faces, with just minor cleavages, it is hard to find nowadays a floater piece such as this, in this good condition. The blue colour is especially intense if backlighted.

Collected by Marcel Volant at the end of the 1960’s, it was acquired in 1990 by Prof. Dr. Renaud Vochten (vochtenite).
