Description

Nice representative cluster of lustrous cherry red cuprite crystals on a calcite-chrysocolla matrix. The crystals are octahedral, aerial and well terminated, with a corner contacted with the matrix, but not broken.

Cuprites from Dikuluwe are extremely rare in collections and this one was found in the late 1960’s by Martial Borzée, a Belgian engineer who worked in Zaire.
