Description

An undamaged black hexagonal hibonite crystal from Esiva eluvials, the type locality. Hibonite was first discovered by Paul Hibon in June 1953. Hibonite is a very hard species (7.5-8 Mohs) that belongs to the magnetoplumbite group.

This perfect floater crystal was acquired in 1980 by Willy Israel to Michel Bobin. Ex Alain Carion.
