Kobyashevite With Calcite & Selenite

Rare Mineral

Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Ojuela Mine, Mapimi, Durango, Mexico
Class:
Crystals on Matrix
Size Range:
Miniature (4.5-7 cm)
Size:
6 × 5 × 5 cm
Description

Ultra rare, blue/green Kobyashevite and delicate selenite needles on calcite crystals. Kobyashevite is only listed from three localities world wide and the limited find at Ojuela has produced the finest examples due to its deposition on well defined calcite crystals.

This colourful specimen is a sizable example and is being offered at a sensible starting price rather than the crazy prices usually asked for similar examples of this extremely uncommon species. The final offering of the three specimens I managed to acquire.
