Description

Pink fluorite from the Mont Blanc massive is arguably the most iconic and sought after alpine mineral. This is a little gem of a specimen with numerous translucent, octahedral crystals up to 1.1 cm on an edge. The colour is excellent.

I went to the trouble of taking the final image with backlighting, I shouldn't have bothered as normal daylight (all other images) show the colours up just as well. A great little specimen from a world famous locality for fluorite.
