Stibnite With Calcite

Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
San Martín Mine, San Martín, Sombrerete Municipality, Zacatecas, Mexico
Class:
Crystal Group/Cluster
Size Range:
Miniature (4.5-7 cm)
Size:
5 × 5 × 3 cm
Description

Having specilised in collecting minerals from Mexico for over 20 yrs I can safely say that stibnite is one of the less common minerals from that country. They don't often come up for sale and this specimen is a good sized example with sharp reflective crystals, many terminated and others covered with calcite that has fine stibnite inclusions. A very good specimen from the locality.
